Citrus County Recycles

Did you know that recycling is the easiest thing we all can do 365 days a year to save energy, conserve natural resources and create green jobs? KCCB is committed to help raise a greater awareness about the importance and benefits of recycling in the county.

Each year, in conjunction with America Recycles Day in November, KCCB hosts a tour of the recycling facilities in the county and provides an educational opportunity for the community to learn more about recycling.

Throughout the year, KCCB keeps the community informed as to the importance of recycling items that can be recycled at the various drop-off locations. (Recycling Locations)

KCCB is excited to be part of the grass roots movement of getting 75% of solid waste to be recycled by the year 2020. Partners are welcome to join the movement!

Single stream (mixed material) recycling is available to all residents of Citrus County through the County's recycling drop-off program. For more information go to their website where you will find a list of materials and a map of locations. http://www.bocc.citrus.fl.us/pubworks/swm/solid_waste.htm

Curbside recycling opportunities are available in the City of Crystal River, click here for details.

Curbside Recycling is also available in the City of Inverness (click here for details).

If you live in the unincorporated areas of the County, please contact your waste collection company to find out what services they provide in your area. If curbside recycling is not available in your area, please use one of the dropoff locations provided around the County (click here for details)

Businesses can recycle too. Small businesses can participate in the County's drop-off program, or use the Central Landfill. Businesses can also arrange for on-site recycling through their waste collection company.
